Valero continues to support its community and charities through its title sponsorships, which tackles more than the company's enthusiasm for sports. The sponsorships help:

  • Raise funds to support higher education through college scholarships
  • Provide needed funds to children's charities
  • Raise funds for the Shriner's Hospitals for Children
  • Support economic growth and tourism in communities where Valero operates
Valero Alamo Bowl
The Valero Alamo Bowl, an exciting football game featuring two of the nation’s best college conferences in the Big 12 and Big Ten, is played in front of record crowds and broadcast on ESPN to millions of viewers nationwide. What greater stage for one of college football’s most popular bowl games than one of the country’s most popular vacation destinations, San Antonio.
Valero Alamo Bowl
Valero Cactus Bowl

Valero is also the proud title sponsor of the Cactus Bowl – played at Texas A&M in Kingsville, Texas. The Cactus Bowl football teams are comprised of the “best of the best” NCAA Division II college seniors.
Funds raised from the Valero Cactus Bowl benefit the 22 Shriners Hospitals for Children throughout the U.S., Mexico and Canada. Any child 18 years old and younger is treated at no charge, and the Shriners, a nonprofit organization, also provides transportation and housing of parents during treatment.

 
Valero Texas Open

Valero has been the title sponsor of the Valero Texas Open since 2002. In that time, the tournament has gone from the bottom of the PGA TOUR in terms of charitable fundraising to raising more for charity than any other event in PGA TOUR history.
