Students majoring in general business have many opportunities to contribute to the success of Valero. Opportunities are available for both summer and year-round internships for students majoring in general business or related degree plans.

Business Intern Requirements
Valero is looking for students majoring in general business or related degree plans to fill intern positions at company headquarters in San Antonio.
  • A minimum 3.0 GPA is required.
  • Attending a four-year accredited university is mandatory.
  • Students must have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours.
  • Business interns must have the ability to work a 40-hour week during the summer.

Ongoing Business Interns
Some business interns are ongoing, meaning they work 20-30 hours per week during the school year and full-time during the summer. In addition to the benefits listed above, all ongoing interns enjoy a robust benefits package, including:

  • Education reimbursement for students who have been employed with Valero a minimum of three months

Business Internships
Opportunities for business majors are available in the following departments: Wholesale Economics and Operations, Wholesale Brands, Customer Support Services, Wholesale Business Analytics and Reporting, Business Development, Commercial Analysis, Human Resources and Corporate Communications.
