What began as a small golf tournament to benefit a San Antonio charity is today a nationwide effort to improve the lives of children. The Valero Texas Open Benefit for Children Golf Classic, a project of the Valero Energy Foundation*, has proudly delivered millions of dollars to children’s charities across the U.S. since 2002. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, funds are distributed to children's charities in the communities where Valero has major operations. The result is a network of strong, well-supported agencies with the means to help thousands of disadvantaged, abused and neglected children. The Valero Texas Open Benefit for Children Golf Classic is proud to partner with these agencies to make a lasting difference in children’s lives.

*The Valero Energy Foundation is a tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. As of October 1, 2012, the Foundation has requested an advance ruling and given the IRS notice of its intent to seek classification as a 501(c)(3) public charity.
