The Valero Texas Open has been a San Antonio tradition since 1922. The third oldest tournament on the PGA TOUR, it attracts many of golf’s top players and an international television audience through coverage by CBS and the Golf Channel.  Together with the Valero Texas Open Benefit for Children Golf Classic, millions of dollars are raised to help support deserving charities. 2012 Valero Texas Open

The 2012 Valero Texas Open will be celebrating its 90th Anniversary as it returns for its third year at the beautiful TPC San Antonio and JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa in northeast San Antonio.  The Texas Open is the longest-running tournament in the same city on the PGA TOUR! Scheduled for two weeks after the Masters, the 2012 Valero Texas Open will feature outstanding PGA TOUR competition, as well as a tournament week highlighted by four pro-ams at TPC San Antonio's two outstanding courses designed by Greg Norman and Pete Dye, unique pairings parties and other hospitality and branding opportunities. By sponsoring the Valero Texas Open, you'll also be supporting many worthy charities throughout South Texas.

2011 Winner: Brendan Steele
Congratulations to 2011 Valero Texas Open winner Brendan Steele. Brendan, a PGA TOUR rookie, finished with an 8-under 280, one stroke ahead of two players – Kevin Chappell and Charley Hoffman – ending his final round with 11 straight pars, including a difficult play from behind the green on the 72nd hole to preserve his first PGA TOUR victory.

A Record of Success
The 2011 Valero Texas Open was the most successful in the tournament’s 89-year history. Together with the Valero Texas Open Benefit for Children Golf Classic, the Valero Texas Open contributed a record total of $9 million to charity, which once again ranked as the top fundraising event on the PGA TOUR and marked the fifth consecutive year that these events generated at least $8 million or more in charitable giving.
