At nine of its refineries, Valero has the capacity to produce 9 million tons of petroleum coke annually, including 1 million tons each on the East and West coasts, and the balance in the U.S. Gulf Coast and Caribbean regions.
· Delayed coke
Valero produces 8 million tons annually, including 7 million tons in the U.S. Gulf Coast and Caribbean regions. This product is mainly used in power and cement plants worldwide.
· Fluid coke
Valero produces 1 million tons annually of fluid coke, with roughly half apiece on the West and East coasts.
