At nine of its refineries, Valero has the capacity to produce 9 million tons of petroleum coke annually, including 1 million tons each on the East and West coasts, and the balance in the U.S. Gulf Coast and Caribbean regions.
· Delayed coke
Valero produces 8 million tons annually, including 7 million tons in the U.S. Gulf Coast and Caribbean regions. This product is mainly used in power and cement plants worldwide.
· Fluid coke
Valero produces 1 million tons annually of fluid coke, with roughly half apiece on the West and East coasts. The majority of the East Coast fluid coke is consumed internally at the Valero Delaware City Refinery gasifier.
