Through Valero's ongoing partnership with Texas A&M® Athletics a first-time challenge was developed where the real winner was charity. For every free throw made at the 'charity stripe' by the Texas A&M®​ men's and women's basketball teams during home games this past season, $30 was donated to a local charity.  

A $15,000 check was presented to the Boys and Girls Club of Brazos Valley near College Station, Texas, for the 487 free throws made. This campaign will help fund books, meals, supplies, and memberships for the nearly 1000 kids who attend the Club.​​

This partnership not only encouraged the players to strive for excellence on the court, but also fostered a sense of purpose in giving back to their community.
