Kids in Port Arthur, Texas are getting a better chance at a good night’s rest. Through a $30,000 donation from Valero’s Port Arthur Refinery through the BFC, Sleep in Heavenly Peace built and distributed at least 150 additional beds—helping meet a basic need and make a lasting impact in the community.

With support from Valero’s BFC, Wings of Texas empowers individuals with disabilities to experience the joy of athletic events. Through a team model of “Captains” and volunteer “Angels,” this Coastal Bend nonprofit fosters inclusion, connection, and community—one finish line at a time.

Thanks to Valero Energy Foundation’s support of the Cibolo Nature Center, students from Boerne and San Antonio, Texas—including many from Title I schools—have the opportunity to explore nature firsthand. Through educational programs and field trips funded by the BFC, the center continues to inspire young learners and promote conservation in the community.

With support from Valero’s BFC, the TLC Learning Center in Charles City, Iowa provides a safe, enriching environment for children from infancy through 5th grade. As the community’s only licensed child care facility, TLC gives families peace of mind and helps prepare kids for success in school—and in life.
