Prepare for any type of interview by reviewing the job description and company website.

Many of Valero’s interview questions are behavioral-based. To prepare, think of various examples of past experiences that you can draw upon to share during the interview.

Some positions may require taking a test before being selected for an interview. If this is the case, the recruiter will communicate with you about the test and when it must be completed.

Yes, the careers website is mobile friendly. If applying from your phone, make sure you have access to your resume if you want to upload via the mobile application.

The recruitment process depends on the type of job you are applying for and the number of candidates who applied. Typically, Valero recruiters aim to respond via email or phone within the first 30 days of application.

Recruiters will engage with a candidate after reviewing the resume and application and let selected candidates know if they are being considered for the next step in the process.
When is the next Basic Operator Training (BOT) hiring class?

BOT hiring is based on the needs of particular sites and varies throughout the year. Advertisement of BOT jobs will be posted on the Operations page.
