Valero is the world’s largest independent refiner and the world’s largest producer of low-carbon transportation fuels.
Valero provides essential fuels and products which fuel modern life; today and for generations to come. For Valero, being able to support people in their everyday lives is something we are proud of.
Valero was founded in San Antonio, Texas, in 1980 and bought its first full-scale refinery in Corpus Christi, Texas in 1984. Today, we have 15 refineries including Pembroke refinery in Wales.
Having local refineries not only provides cost and economic efficiencies, but also ensures a secure supply of quality fuels to our customers and that's important to us.
We have approximately 6,000 service stations that carry the Valero name in the US and Latin America and we’re now introducing the Valero brand in the UK. There are Valero branded sites in South Wales and further sites across the UK.
