​Valero's corporate offices are located at headquarters in San Antonio, as well as in Montreal (Canadian operations), London (Western Europe operations) and in Amarillo, Texas (Valero Payment Service Center).


​Through subsidiaries, Valero owns and operates 15 petroleum refineries, with a combined throughput capacity of 3 million barrels per day, and a vast network of pipelines and terminals. The refineries are geographically diverse, with locations along the U.S. West and Gulf coasts, and Mid-continent, as well as in Canada and the United Kingdom.

​Valero's renewable fuels and alternative energy operations, through subsidiaries, include Valero Renewables, consisting of 11 corn ethanol plants throughout the U.S. Midwest with 1.3 billion gallons of annual capacity; Diamond Green Diesel, a joint venture with Darling Ingredients Inc. that produces renewable diesel fuel from used cooking oil, recycled animal fat and corn oil, at a 9,300 barrel-per-day plant in Louisiana; and Sunray Wind, a 50-megawatt wind farm that produces electricity for the McKee refinery and a local utility in the Texas Panhandle.
