The Valero Ardmore Refinery is located in Oklahoma, approximately 100 miles south of Oklahoma City. The refinery predominantly receives Permian Basin and Cushing-sourced crude oil via third-party pipelines. Refined petroleum products are transported via rail, trucks and the Magellan pipeline system.
The refinery has gone through numerous upgrades since its purchase by Valero in 2001. It has been continuously modernized over the years with the objective of processing light sweet to heavier, sour crudes while maintaining a high product yield, establishing the refinery as a leader in the production of clean-burning fuels, especially in the Oklahoma region.

The refinery supports numerous community initiatives such as Ardmore Main Street’s Depot Park revitalization.
In 2019, Ardmore hosted the 6th Annual Valero United Way BBQ Showdown, which raised $180,700 for the United Way.
Employees logged more than 4,200 volunteer hours in 2019 with organizations in Ardmore and surrounding communities.

Ardmore is located between the Arbuckle Mountains and the Red River Valleys, an hour and half from Oklahoma City. It has a population of almost 25,000, is the seat of Carter County and the largest metropolitan area in southern Oklahoma.
Summers are hot, muggy, and mostly clear and the winters are cold, windy, and partly cloudy.
Temperatures typically vary from 33°F to 94°F throughout the year. It is rarely below 20°F or above 102°F.
